Chief Government Relations Officer
Jena Jensen is Chief Government Relations Officer at CHOC Children’s in Orange, California. In this capacity, she serves as CHOC Children’s central resource for legislative advocacy as well as the development and maintenance of relationships with federal, state and local elected officials, government, community and opinion leaders. Ms. Jensen is dedicated to creating awareness, building relationships and generating support for CHOC Children’s in its mission to nurture, advance and protect the health and well-being of children.
Ms. Jensen’s 20-year tenure with CHOC Children’s dates back to 1992, when she joined the hospital as Director of Marketing and Public Relations. Prior to joining CHOC, she provided public relations consulting services to the organization, along with a variety of other multi-sector Orange County clients. Her 25-year career in health care began at United Western Medical Centers, based in Santa Ana, California.
Ms. Jensen is a native of California and earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley. She currently serves on the boards of directors of Orange Chamber of Commerce and Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Orange County Business Council, Orange County Public Affairs Association and Orange County Forum. Along with her two teenage daughters, she is an active member and former board member of the National Charity League of North Tustin. Ms. Jensen is a long-time resident of North Tustin, where she resides with her husband and three children.
