Director of Communications

Katherine Reedy joined Orange County Business Council in November 2010 as the Director of Communications. Katherine brings to OCBC a background of unique and varied experiences in communications, public relations, and community organizing. Prior to joining OCBC Katherine worked as the Manager of Community Engagement and Legislative Analysis at the Orange County Registrar of Voters. In this role she furthered the visibility and reputation of the Department as a leader in the elections industry by contributing to the national election dialogue and implementing an extensive community outreach program.

Prior to moving to Orange County in 2008, Katherine worked in the Executive Office of Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard as the Community Media Coordinator. Here she contributed to the Office’s statewide communication and outreach goals by sharing with the public critical information on consumer protection and civil rights.

Katherine was born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. In 2001 she moved to Arizona where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Arizona State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration degree from California State University, Long Beach.

Katherine has a passion for politics and in her spare time enjoys political organizing, with a focus on young voter engagement. She currently resides in Newport Beach.
