OCBC 2008 Annual Dinner - The Road Ahead
Featuring a Special Tribute to Chris Anderson
January 29, 2008 - Register Now!!
More than 700 people attended the Orange County Business Council's 2007 Annual Dinner featuring the unlikely politcal couple James Carville and Mary Matalin.
Now, just days before the 2008 California Primary, Pulitzer prize-winning columnist George Will comes to OCBC to layout the national road map to Super Tuesday and who will be in the driver seat on the road to the White House for the 2008.
OCBC is also pleased this year to honor Chris Anderson, outgoing Publisher and CEO of the Orange County Register. Current Los Angeles Times Publisher and CEO David D. Hiller will illuminate the path traveled by Anderson, whose contributions to Orange County are almost too innumerable to count.
His leadership in transforming the Santa Ana Register into the Orange County Register, for example, gave America’s fifth largest county its own voice. When supporting charitable organizations across the region, Anderson has often enabled them to thrive and successfully contribute to Orange County’s renowned quality of life. An integral part of leadership, growth and good works in his community, Orange County is better place because of Chris Anderson.
Looking ahead to 2008, incoming Chairman Steve Lenzi, Senior Vice President, Automobile Club of Southern California will chart the Road Ahead for OCBC. Highlighting recent achievements and planned initiatives for 2008, Lenzi will discuss how he plans to keep OCBC on the road to prosperity with a continued emphasis on the business council's key priorities: Infrastructure, Workforce Development and Workforce Housing.
