AB 1839, which OCBC supports, successfully passed out of the Senate Governance and Finance Committee. This was a key hurdle for the bill, which extends and restructures the California Film and Television Tax Credit Program. Introduced by Assemblymember Mike Gatto, 43rd District, and Assemblymember Raul Bocanegra, 39th District, the tax credit is a crucial draw in attracting the film and television industry, which creates thousands of jobs and has major positive impacts for the regional and state economy. AB 1839 will now move on to the Senate Appropriations Committee. For more information, contact Bryan Starr, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs.
