OCBC and OC Forum Present The Outlook for Energy: A View to 2040

IRVINE, Calif. — Orange County Business Council and Orange County Forum present The Outlook for Energy: A View to 2040, on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine at 12:00 p.m., sponsored by Exxon Mobil Corporation. The luncheon features a panel of industry experts discussing the evolving global energy landscape, California’s regulatory framework and the energy sector’s economic impact.

Keynote speaker Rob Gardner, Manager, Economics and Energy Division, Corporate Strategic Planning Department, Exxon Mobil Corporation, will address the key findings of ExxonMobil’s annual report, The Outlook for Energy (Outlook).  The Outlook is a comprehensive analysis of the long-term trends that shape global energy demand, the types of energy resources needed to meet the demand and the role of technology, efficiencies and growing economies.

“Energy is fundamental to our way of life and essential to grow our economy,” said Rob Gardner. “The Outlook reveals key findings about how we use energy, how much we will need in the future and what types of fuels will meet demand. We hope that by sharing the Outlook, we can enhance understanding of energy issues so that we can all make informed decisions about our energy future.”

Speakers Catherine Reheis-Boyd, President, Western States Petroleum Association, and Dr. Wallace Walrod, Chief Economic Advisor, Orange County Business Council will share expert opinion and analysis on California’s energy sector, including policies that affect the market and the sector’s impact on the local economy.
