2016 Award for Public Service Leadership Nominees

 Anaheim Fire Chief Randy R. Bruegman

Anaheim Fire Chief Randy R. Bruegman has served in many leadership roles within the fire service industry on local, state and national levels.  Under his leadership, Anaheim’s first community based Strategic Plan and Standards of Cover for the department was developed which continues to be the roadmap for the agency’s focus. Under his leadership, the agency has achieved or is close to achieving seven of eight recommendations outlined in the agency’s 2015-2020 Strategic Plan.

Congresswoman Mimi Walters

Congresswoman Mimi Walters helped cut red tape with HR9 the Innovation Act, a bill that seeks to change rules and regulations surrounding patent infringement in an attempt to reduce patent lawsuits. Representative Walters continues to exhibit an unwavering commitment to pro-growth policies and strengthening Orange County’s business especially in our local biotech industry, which is vital to Orange County and California’s success.

County of Orange Social Service Agency

The Orange County Social Service Agency was the leader in developing an all-inclusive No Wrong Door customer service delivery model for both external and internal customers.The model is based on the three “Cs” of customer service: Collaboration, Coordination and Communication.
