Paul O’Mara is a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Wells Fargo Commercial Banking, managing the range County South RCBO. Based in Irvine, CA. he oversees a team of 28 professionals who provide the bank’s wide array of  products and services to both middle market clients and prospective clients in the Southern California region.
Prior to assuming his current role as the Orange County Regional Manager, Paul was Divisional Sales Manager for Wells Fargo Commercial Banking, covering the Midwest and PennDel/Eastern Canada Divisions. He oversaw a team of 12 professionals who provided debt capital, treasury management, investments, trust, insurance, and international services to middle-market businesses with annual sales greater than $20 million. Prior to his role as Divisional Sales Manager, Paul was a Regional Manager for one of two Chicago RCBOs. He held many positions at Wells Fargo in Chicago prior to that, including Team Leader and Relationship Manager. Before joining Wells Fargo, Paul was Deputy Credit Manager at Northern Trust. Paul also spent 20 years at Continental Bank/Bank of America as a Market Executive for the middle market lending division in Chicago. Paul earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL. Paul is a member of the University of California – Irvine Chief Executive Roundtable. The Chief  executive Roundtable has become a gateway to mutually beneficial cooperation and knowledge transfer between the business community and the University. In addition, he is a member of the UCI Dean’s Advisory Board. The Board was formed to discuss vital topics related to the school and the business community. For the past two years, Paul has been a board member of the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center. The Shea Center is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through therapeutic horse-related programs. Paul is also actively involved in rangewood Children’s Foundation. Orangewood focuses on the ongoing needs of children in the foster care system by developing a wide range of activities, scholarships, support, and programs to give every child a chance to succeed.
