Senior Vice President, Government Affairs
Alicia Berhow has been with Orange County Business Council (OCBC) since April of 2007 having previously served as Director of Workforce Development and Vice President of Workforce Development and Advocacy. Beforehand, Alicia served for five years as Senior Field Representative for former Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez working on education, labor, local government, and health care issues. Prior to her time with the Congresswoman, Alicia worked as Sales Administrator for Miller Brewing Company in Irvine.
In her role as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for OCBC, Alicia has more than 20 years of experience in government, public policy, and advocacy. In her position, Alicia advocates on OCBC’s four key policy initiatives, Workforce Development, Workforce Housing, Infrastructure and Economic Development. Alicia works on behalf of OCBC’s 300 business stakeholders representing aerospace, energy efficiency, education, tele-communications, housing development, transportation, health care, and water reliability. Alicia’s role is to work effectively with the region’s business stakeholders to enhance our economic success that effects the daily lives of our residents in the region and a 21st century global economy.
Alicia is a state appointee for the Speaker of the Assembly on the California Board of Accountancy (CBA), having served as President in 2017; the CBA regulates more than 106,000 accountants and partnerships in the state. Additionally, Alicia also serves as Board Chair for the Community Action Partnership / Orange County Food Bank, Vice Chair for the Anaheim Workforce Investment Board and is a member of California Women Lead and Women in Transportation – Orange County (WTS-OC).
Born in Utah and raised in Orange County, Alicia received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at the University of California, Irvine in 2001.
