BREAKING NEWS: OCBC’S WISHLIST FOR FEDERAL HEALTHCARE LEGISLATION
Republicans released a modified health care bill yesterday which would replace the Affordable Care Act. The House of Representatives will vote on the bill is Thursday – exactly seven years to the day after President Obama signed the act. As federal legislators continue to work on this robust legislation, there are a few items on OCBC’s wish list that encourage lawmakers to consider that would both protect the workforce and eliminate barriers to economic growth. First, the health insurance, medical device and prescription medications taxes should be eliminated. Second, there should be limitations on contributions to health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts, as well as the penalties associated with the employer mandate. CLICK HERE to read more.
