Columnist, Pulitzer Prize Winner George F. Will to Keynote OCBC 2014 Annual Dinner
IRVINE, CA—Orange County Business Council presents the 2014 Annual Dinner featuring nationally syndicated columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner George F. Will as the keynote speaker Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Hotel Irvine, sponsored by FivePoint Communities. Will is one of the nation’s premier speakers currently on the circuit, offering keen insight on a range of today’s most compelling issues — from topics such as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, to Pulitzer Prize winning observations on baseball. With his breadth of knowledge on subjects concerning domestic and foreign affairs, and his incomparable wit, the Annual Dinner promises to be a must-see event.
The Annual Dinner will install OCBC’s 2014 Board of Directors led by Les Card, Chairman and CEO, LSA Associates Inc., and recognize outgoing OCBC Chairman Michael Hornak of Rutan & Tucker LLP, for his vision and guidance in leading OCBC to its many successes and accomplishments throughout the past year.
The Annual Dinner will also highlight OCBC’s many accomplishments throughout 2013 that fostered business development and growth, as well as celebrate the numerous advancements of Orange County’s prospering business community. This includes a presentation by Senator Leland Yee, 8th District, of OCBC’s first ever sponsored legislation, SB 751 (YEE), which was signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown Sept. 6, 2013. Under the 2014 theme, “The Sky’s the Limit,” OCBC will continue to promote and commemorate Orange County’s business friendly climate, which is now primed to ascend beyond recovery and launch toward soaring progress and growth in the coming months.
