Jodi Duva
Vice President, Cox Business Orange County

As Vice President Cox Business for the Orange Coast market, encompassing Orange County, Palos Verdes, and Santa Barbara, Jodi Duva is responsible for leading a world-class team delivering customized communications solutions to local business communities. Duva oversees sales and service delivery across all sales channels. Fred Barvarz
Transmission and Distribution Manager, Anaheim Public Utilities

Fred Barvarz is the Transmission & Distribution Manager at City of Anaheim’s Public Utilities Department, where he has held various positions over the past 19 years. Previously, he worked for Southern California Edison for 3 years designing and managing nuclear power plant security systems, and prior to that, another 11 years for Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, a municipally-owned utility. Fred’s responsibilities in Anaheim include managing the utility’s dispatch radio system and fiber optics network utilized for municipal operations, telecommunications-related policy positions and action plans, and working with wireless providers to improve and expand their services in Anaheim.

 

Seth G. Benzell
Assistant Professor of Management Science, Chapman University, Argyros School of Business and Economics

Seth G. Benzell is an Assistant Professor of Management Science at the Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University. He is a Digital Fellow of the MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics.

Seth’s work is in the economics of automation, digitization, and networks. He is also interested in public economics generally. His work has been published in AEJ: Applied Economics, PNAS, Sloan Management Review, and other peer-reviewed and    non-peer-reviewed outlets. Seth has presented his research at the US Capitol, and as an expert for a US international public diplomacy mission.

Saul Panduro
Manager, Real Estate and Regulatory Affairs, Verizon

Saul has been with Verizon for 25 years, dating back to the legacy company, AirTouch Cellular. For the past three years his role has been in Network and Real Estate, negotiating Master License Agreements with cities in Southern CA. Prior to that, he spent 11 years working in Public Sector Sales as an Advanced Solutions Architect where he tailored solutions for Federal, State and Local governments. He spent the first 11 years of his career in IT working in various functional groups such as Office Automation, HQ Planning and Engineering and Prepay Development.

 

Dan Schweizer
Director of Government Affairs, Crown Castle

Dan Schweizer is the Crown Castle Government Affairs Director for the West. Dan leads a team of managers throughout the West tasked with building relationships at the municipal and state level to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.  Dan came to Crown Castle through the NextG Networks acquisition and served as the Government Relations Counsel in the same region for three years.  Prior to working in telecom, Dan was a Program Manager with San Diego Gas and Electric, and an Apache Pilot in the U.S. Army.  Dan holds a juris doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, an MBA from Arizona State, and a BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  He is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
