OCBC Chairman of the Board receives surprise award as OC Influencer for Good
On an evening filled with messages of love, collaboration and respect for one another, five pillars in the community were honored as OC Influencers for Good – four of whom are members of the OCBC Board of Directors. President and CEO Lucy Dunn; Dr. Al Mijares, Orange County Department of Education; OCBC Chair Richard Porras, AT&T; and OCBC Chair-elect Steve Churm, FivePoint; received recognition as Pillars in Government, Education, the Founders Award, and Business, respectively. Dr. Alice Police, UC Irvine, received the Pillar of Healthcare honor. While attendees had anticipated honoring four pillars in the community, a fifth Founders’ Award was unexpectedly delivered to Porras to honor the great work he has done throughout the community across education, government, and business. Ensuring prosperity and wellness for all throughout the region is paramount to OCBC’s activities and its Board is comprised of community leaders throughout every industry sector in Orange County. While the evening was dedicated to celebrating each Pillar, everyone who was honored attributed their success to their mentors, family, friends and colleagues who all supported and inspired them to wake up every morning with the intention of love and goodness. Congratulations to all honorees, it was a proud night for OCBC! For more information, contact Patty Conover, Director of Government Affairs.
