OCBC Releases Statement Supporting Modernizing California’s Water Distribution Infrastructure
Irvine, CA – Today, the Newsom Administration announced it has initiated the environmental review process on a single-pipeline Delta Conveyance by issuing it’s Notice of Preparation (NOP). A NOP provides state agencies information about the potential environmental effects, including a description of the project and its location.
OCBC has released the following statement on the NOP:
“Orange County Business Council is pleased that the state is moving forward with the initiation of the environmental review process for the improved Delta Conveyance. Southern California’s homes, farms, and businesses depend on this conveyance system to deliver a reliable water supply to fuel the economy. We must take steps now to protect these supplies and ensure that it continues to be a reliable source of water for generations to come.”
