OCBC Sponsors and Attends Orange County United Way Annual Scorecard Event
The Scorecard event also highlighted the United to End Homelessness campaign, led by a coalition of leaders in business, faith, and nonprofits, which has continued to succeed towards its goal to reduce the number of homeless families to functional zero.
Additionally, OC United Way has been monumentally successful in their workforce development initiatives: the high school dropout rate has been cut in half since FACE 2024 launched in 2014, and UpSkill OC, a program pioneered by OC United Way and OCBC to provide housing insecure residents training for middle-skill careers, has measured immense success alongside SparkPoint OC, which assists families in gaining financial independence.
OCBC Immediate Past Chair Steve Churm, who serves as Vice Chair of the OC United Way Board of Directors, provided concluding remarks for the event. OCBC will continue to support OC United Way as they strive towards completing other FACE 2024 goals and push for even greater progress in their most successful areas.
