Orange County Business Council Endorses Re-Election of Huntington Beach City Councilmember Barbara Delgleize
IRVINE, CA — August 10, 2018 — Orange County Business Council today announced it is endorsing Barbara Delgleize for re-election to the Huntington Beach City Council. Delgleize — who served as mayor of Huntington Beach in 2017 – is seeking her second term on the city council.
“Councilmember Delgleize has shown in just a single term on the Huntington Beach City Council that she is a dynamic leader who understands that a healthy business community and growing economy are vital to the quality of life of her constituents in Huntington Beach and, indeed, all of Orange County,” said Lucy Dunn, OCBC president and CEO. “In particular, during her tenure as mayor she proved an effective advocate for improving and maintaining the county’s critical infrastructure, one of OCBC’s core initiatives.”

During her current term in office, Delgleize served as mayor in 2017 and has represented Huntington Beach on the Orange County Transportation Commission, Orange County Sanitation District, Santa Ana River Flood Project Agency and the Association of California Cities — Orange County. She has also served on the city’s Central Park Task Force and Sunset Beach Community Association. Prior to her tenure on the city council, Delgleize was a member of the Huntington Beach Planning Commission from 2008 to 2012.
